I just want to design and animate stuff, seriously, the illustration part doesnt thrill me that much, telling a story, seeing it come to life, thats my thrill, doesnt have to be clean and shiney and whats not, thats just the bonus that comes after the hardwork.
Anyhow more updates around the week, right now, i want to get back into the force and shapes, the whole tidy illustration semester made me lose a bit of what i used to have.

Life drawings from this semester, phew finally some time off. Next post, concepts.

Hey !

End of semester rush, 3-4 projects left, barely got time to sleep.

1-Insect fully detailed with patterns, dept, transparancy, etc.
2-Landscape of mystery project.
3-Animal in pointilism (40 hours min)
4-English term paper.

I recently had to rush my art history assignement since im not too keen on deadlines yet (way to go, way to go.) Here are the panels, im personally not satisfied with them since i lost alot of force converting the line work to marker work but ill experiment some more and see how goes. I still need to do some frames on my own mini series but for now, lets get these projects done and end this semester.

Final Round !

Go !

Aaaaaaalriiiiiiiiiiiiiiightey! Life drawing in today's observation class now the only downfall is we stay stuck on the face for 3 hours. We had to use charcoal residue to make the background of the page then play with conte and the eraser on the ingres paper.

Update on the spider project, even if the conte doesnt do so well with the mayfair it still gave me an interesting texture effect, ill try reinforcing it and see what happens.

Its a personal label i have to do for school, ill have trace intro illustrator and see what goes on from there on.

Back to HW.

Here are the school projects taking so much out of my time.

Im currently trying to get some gifts done as well as pencil test but, i must get my value and plane play in gear while raising my hand to eye co-ordination. Ive stayed stuck in linework a bit too long, not saying ive mastered it, just that i should experiment more and play with other fundamentals if i ever want to learn em all.

So freaking tired....

Mid term seems to be hitting hard, constant project deadline successing one after each other, those late nights and lack of sleep and now this weird transition from line to value. ill try and get something uploaded this week if sleep doesnt take me away, storyboarding for the personal project is done so its time for some frames.

Cya later

Havent had time to post anything due to homework that ill post on later but this...

The dawson school shooting, that was fucking unexpected, i didnt see that coming waking up this morning for an art history class, still didnt see it coming when the teacher told us he might finish his lecture earlier and let us off around 12:30pm, STILL didnt fully see it coming when the classrom started hearing firework-like sounds. God....
We all understood that they meant business once the cellphones went off and we started to barricade the door. Those were the most intense 20 minutes of our lives when we were waiting for the cops to evacuate us. Had my cutter ready for anything that would try to pass that door, didnt really freaked out during the whole scene man i dont have much time to tell the whole story but that was some sick shit, the gunman was obviously crazy .... and i feel for the family of the injured and dead students. Really, what the fuck... more on it on another post i guess.

Bleh back to school, illustration and design, more than 300$ spent on materials. Alright, time to compress 2 month of sketches into a few good ones.

Another week of uncalled for overtime yet i feel i made a jump this time, art wise. That marvel book i bought around last year, went back into it and tried to analyse some of the lines in there. My main problem was the lack of fluidity and form due to the fact i wanted my work to be clean from the start. Yep sounds like a old record but its a hard thing to shake, but going through the book again and mixing it with Preston Blair's technique, my work is completely messy BUT has more fluidity and better forms. For the better? Only patience will tell.

Overtime all week long, Enabled. Last 2 weeks of this project, waith, last week i think, anyway, ill try and sketch faster during the loading times but im not completely done with the torso. Yet the next 2 weeks i have to train on my lines (gotta be looser and less sketchy.) and also its time to take on the upper arm so ill still be sticking with the torso a bit longer but more focus on the upperarm. Didnt have time to due much gestures yet if i raise my speed a bit i might be able to pull off the ammount ive done last week in such short ammount of time. Gotta keep doing it even though 1 outta 20 might be good. Oh also, Kobo got back from the anime convention he spoke about, be sure to check out all the pics on his blogs linked on the right side.
Anyhow, back to studies, later gang.
